Zzzzzzzzzzzz

About two weeks ago we officially moved Silas into Caleb's room. We had their new room ready before Canaan was born, but because of illnesses and our fear of messing up their sleep we kept putting off the actual transition to sleeping in the room together. But then Canaan outgrew his bassinet and we were forced to make the move final.

Caleb did take a two hour nap every afternoon, but then that usually meant he would stay awake in his bed playing with his cars for about thirty minutes before going to sleep at night - obviously that would not work well if Silas was trying to sleep in the same room. We made the decision that Caleb would no longer nap, but would instead rest quietly for an hour on his nap mat in another room in hopes that he would then be ready for bed earlier and they would go to sleep at the same time. Things seemed to be going well...

Fast forward two weeks to the day after we get home from a long trip of non-stop fun, and no nap equals falling asleep at the dinner table before he even finished his fruit snack treat for eating a good dinner.
I could not really let him nap long (if I wanted anyone in the house to sleep before midnight), and we had one grouchy boy on the way to t-ball. We may need a new plan!

Big Nanny would never endorse a 3 year old not taking a real nap. Yes, you're right...you need a new plan:)

I am open to suggestions! We can discuss the details on the way to Ridgecrest.

That is pitiful! Nathan and I both took a 3 hr nap yesterday and still went to bed tired last night. We all played hard this weekend.
